A 15-year-old boy allegedly ended his life in northwest Delhi's Adarsh Nagar, police confirmed on Thursday. The tragedy unfolded after the boy's sister reportedly admonished him for spending excessive time on mobile games, neglecting his academic responsibilities.
The incident was reported to the local police on Wednesday. 'During inquiry, it was revealed that the boy, identified as Adarsh, hanged himself from a ceiling fan at home following an argument with his elder sister,' stated Deputy Commissioner of Police (Northwest) Bhisham Singh.
Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, the ninth-grader succumbed to his injuries. Police have initiated proceedings under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) following the incident. Adarsh's father is employed at an export company in Kundli, Sonepat.
