IMF says Senegalese authorities made 'important progress' on addressing misreporting case

The International Monetary Fund's Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva said the Senegalese authorities had made important progress in addressing the country's misreporting case, according to a statement issued on Friday.

"I welcome Senegal's official request for a new IMF-supported program, which demonstrates the authorities' strong determination to advance their economic reform agenda," Georgieva said.
