Alleged Molester Arrested After Police Chase

In a shocking incident, police have arrested a man, identified as Janu alias Jane Alam, for allegedly molesting a 14-year-old girl in the area. The arrest was made after the victim's mother filed a complaint on October 4, following a disturbing encounter on the street.

The alleged crime was captured on a nearby CCTV camera, providing crucial evidence for the authorities. The case was swiftly registered under pertinent sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

While attempting to evade capture, Alam fell into a pit, fracturing his right arm. He was subsequently given first aid and transported to a hospital in Meerut for further treatment, according to a police spokesperson.
