Tragic Shop Confrontation: Fatal Encounter Over Puffed Rice

A 25-year-old man was killed, and his friend injured by a shopkeeper following a heated argument over roasting puffed rice in Amethi's Bhausinghpur village. A deadly altercation over puffed rice has left one man dead and another injured in the village of Bhausinghpur, located near Amethi. The tragic event unfolded after an argument escalated between the shopkeeper, Ashok Kumar Kashyap, and customer Rahul Yadav, resulting in a violent confrontation.

According to police sources, the dispute quickly intensified, leading Kashyap to strike the victims with a sharp-edged shovel used for roasting rice. Rahul Yadav, 25, succumbed to his injuries at the scene, while his companion, Chandan Vishwakarma, sustained injuries and was transported to a local health facility.

Amethi Superintendent of Police Aparna Rajat Kaushik affirmed that police are actively searching for the suspect, with teams deployed to secure an arrest. The situation in the area remains under control as authorities conduct a thorough investigation.
