Neighbor Arrested for Heinous Crime Against Minor in East Delhi

A 43-year-old man from east Delhi’s Patparganj area was detained for allegedly assaulting an 11-year-old girl, police confirmed on Monday. The suspect, known as Md Ishtkhar, reportedly resides nearby.

Authorities were alerted when the girl’s mother made a PCR call, revealing her daughter had been attacked while alone. Despite facing trauma, the victim is receiving medical and emotional support at the One Stop Centre of Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital.

Law enforcement has lodged an FIR under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Investigations continue under POCSO directives.
