Tragic End: Young Couple's Suspected Suicide in Anekal

A young couple from Odisha, living in Anekal, allegedly ended their lives in a suspected suicide. The incident was discovered when the homeowner alerted police after noticing the couple hadn't opened their door for days. The couple had been working as housekeeping staff locally.

In Anekal, a young couple allegedly took their own lives at their rented accommodation, according to police reports on Tuesday. The tragic event unfolded in Kallabalu village, only drawing attention when local law enforcement forced entry into the residence on a tip-off from the landlord, worried by the couple's conspicuous absence since Sunday.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the deceased couple comprised a man and a woman, aged approximately 23 and 25, both hailing from Odisha. The pair were employed as housekeeping staff in a nearby industrial estate. Authorities inquired with neighbors and learned that an altercation had unfolded after the man became inebriated on Sunday.

An official reported that the man seemed to have hanged himself first. Subsequently, the woman, upon discovering his actions and unsuccessfully attempting to cut him down, chose the same fate. The police department is working towards contacting the relatives of the deceased and is continuing its investigation into the circumstances surrounding the case.
