Horrific Crime in Palamu: Girl's Tragic End

In a tragic incident in Palamu, Jharkhand, a 21-year-old man named Arun Kumar was arrested for allegedly raping and strangling a 14-year-old girl. He reportedly threw her body into a pond and discarded her belongings in a well, after intercepting her on her way to a cousin’s house.

In a disturbing incident in Jharkhand's Palamu district, a 21-year-old man has been taken into custody, accused of raping and murdering a 14-year-old girl. The horrifying crime reportedly took place on October 16. The accused, Arun Kumar, allegedly strangled the victim and disposed of her body in a nearby pond.

The victim, who had left her home to stay overnight at her cousin's residence, never arrived. When inquiries made by her family revealed her absence, a search was initiated. Tragically, her lifeless body was discovered the next day around 4.30 pm, submerged in a pond near her village.

Police reported that besides the body, the victim's phone was retrieved from the pond, while her slippers and clothes were found dumped in a well, providing further evidence to the heinous crime. Her tragic death has left the community in shock and mourning, while the investigation continues.
