Following Diwali celebrations, the Kolkata Police intensified their efforts to maintain law and order, resulting in the arrest of 316 individuals for various offenses. This crackdown included arrests for disorderly conduct and the use of banned fireworks.

According to an official statement, authorities seized over 180 kg of illegal fireworks and 30 litres of illicit liquor during the raids conducted on Tuesday. The operation aimed to curb illegal activities and ensure public safety post-festivities.

In addition to these arrests, the Kolkata Traffic Police also took action against traffic violators, prosecuting 366 individuals for different offenses. The combined efforts highlight the city's commitment to maintaining order during festive times.
