A tragic incident in Greater Noida claimed the life of 25-year-old Wasim, while his uncle remains hospitalized after both were electrocuted by a high-tension wire. The accident unfolded during a game of 'gilli-danda,' a traditional South Asian sport.

Police disclosed that the unfortunate event happened in Fatehkhani Mohalla, Bilaspur town, under the jurisdiction of Dankaur police station. As the game progressed, Wasim climbed onto a rooftop to retrieve the gilli, only to come into contact with a live wire.

Though Wasim's uncle, Tauhid, attempted a rescue, the high-tension wire injured him as well. The family has not yet lodged any formal complaints, and authorities are awaiting their statement for any further legal proceedings.
