Tension enveloped a village as villagers objected to the construction of a 'grave-like platform' inside a residence, aimed at dispelling 'evil spirits' affecting the daughter-in-law of the family.
The controversy erupted when Ram Narayan Singh alias Shobha Singh, and Ravi Singh built the structure in their Tiwari Pur village home, prompting villagers to oppose it.
Police raced to the scene following an 8 pm alert, leading the family to voluntarily dismantle the platform. Police assured that the incident had no communal aspect and confirmed the village's tranquility had been restored.
