Kolkata Police have arrested 132 individuals in a sweeping operation targeting various offences. Of these, 122 were apprehended for disorderly conduct while 10 faced charges for discharging prohibited fireworks.
The police crackdown also led to the seizure of 3.7 kg of banned fireworks and 4.2 litres of illicit liquor. This highlights the ongoing issue of illegal activities in the city.
Additionally, the traffic department prosecuted 365 offenders for violations such as riding without helmets and drunken driving, indicating a focused effort on improving road safety.
