In a devastating incident in central Mumbai, 24-year-old Manisha Yadav was fatally stabbed by her former boyfriend, Sonu Barai, who subsequently committed suicide by slitting his own throat, police reported on Friday.

The brutal attack took place publicly on a road in the Kalachowkie area, just two weeks after Yadav and Barai ended their relationship over suspicions of infidelity. The situation escalated during a meeting orchestrated by Barai, who had armed himself with a kitchen knife.

Despite bystanders' efforts to intervene, they were unable to prevent the tragedy. The police have registered a case under the Kalachowkie police station, as the community reels from the shocking event that was also captured in multiple viral videos circulating on social media.
