Belarus has deployed the Oreshnik missile system, a move President Alexander Lukashenko assures is purely for security purposes.
In a statement reported by the Belarusian state news agency Belta, Lukashenko clarified that the decision is not intended as an act of aggression.
He emphasized that neither Belarus nor Russia seeks to escalate tensions in the region.
