Tragic Late-Night Shooting Claims Life of Migrant E-Rickshaw Driver

In a tragic incident, a migrant e-rickshaw driver was fatally shot by unidentified attackers in Phagwara's Baba Gadhiya locality. The victim, identified as 32-year-old Kuldeep Dhanwar from Jharkhand, faced the attack after dropping a passenger late at night.
Police officials stated that the shooting occurred around midnight, leaving Kuldeep with serious injuries. Despite being rushed to Phagwara's Civil Hospital and later to Jalandhar, he succumbed to his wounds. An investigation is underway to determine a motive, be it personal enmity or robbery.
Following the assault, Kuldeep's wife received a distress call, prompting her and their son to the scene. A police case under relevant sections has been registered, and efforts to examine surveillance footage are ongoing to identify the culprits. The post-mortem process is in progress.
