A tragic incident unfolded in Gayatri Nagar, north Bengaluru, as the decomposed body of a young woman was discovered at her rented residence, according to the police on Sunday.

The 25-year-old, an MBA graduate from Davangere, had worked for a private firm and was known locally for her passion for bike riding. Alarm was raised when family members failed to reach her by phone.

Her body was found hanging on the third floor of a Railway Parallel Road house. The police suspect the death occurred several days prior but await a post mortem report to confirm. The woman's mobile phone will also undergo forensic analysis. The case has been registered as an unnatural death.
