In a distressing incident, a 32-year-old British man allegedly stabbed several passengers aboard a train in eastern England. Transport Minister Heidi Alexander confirmed on Monday that the suspect was not on the radar of counter-terrorism authorities.
The attack, which occurred on Saturday evening, left 11 individuals injured, including a critically hurt train crew member who showed immense bravery by intervening to thwart the attacker.
Despite the severity of the event, authorities confirmed it wasn't linked to terrorism. The suspect was arrested at Huntingdon, and investigations are ongoing, but no further suspects are sought.
