In a significant move to enhance social welfare services, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta inaugurated a new district social welfare office building in Azadpur, North West Delhi, on Tuesday. This initiative aims to benefit residents across 15 Assembly segments by centralizing access to crucial services.
Chief Minister Gupta highlighted that the facility offers streamlined services, including old-age, widow, and disability pensions, alongside scholarships, providing comprehensive support under one roof. She further emphasized the government's dedication to ensuring social justice remains a vital aspect of their mission.
The inauguration ceremony, graced by Social Welfare Minister Ravindra Indraj Singh and local MLA Raj Kumar Bhatia, marked the completion of a project costing approximately Rs 2.14 crore. The modern building replaces the previous space in Rohini, showcasing modern amenities for better service delivery.
