A Lucknow constable was dramatically taken hostage in an SUV, driven for nearly 10 kilometers after stopping the vehicle for inspection over rule violations. The incident, unfolding at Shahid Path in Lucknow, ended with the driver's arrest.

The SUV driver, Krishna Kumar Goswami, initially refused to comply with traffic police directions, leading to a tense chase. Upon being stopped by police, aided by traffic personnel, Goswami evaded arrest despite earlier compliance.

Assistant Commissioner of Police (Krishna Nagar) Rajneesh Verma confirmed Goswami's arrest. The SUV was impounded, and charges were filed for obstructing government work. Legal proceedings are underway following the November 15 episode.
