Emphasizing the need for swift justice, the bench pointed out that prolonged trials allow accused individuals to leverage bail, highlighting the necessity for courts to work tirelessly to meet this new deadline.
The Additional Solicitor General assured that discussions with state governments are underway to set up special NIA and dedicated courts. The court further advocated for virtual witness testimonies to facilitate quicker proceedings, ensuring witness protection under the existing security schemes.
