A 38-year-old man named Uday Yadav was tragically strangled to death by his wife in Asehar village, Jharkhand, following a dispute over his alcohol addiction, police reported on Tuesday.

The clash erupted late Sunday evening when Yadav attempted to leave their home to drink alcohol, prompting an altercation with his wife that escalated violently.

Accused in the incident, the woman has been arrested, with an FIR filed under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. She was presented in court on Tuesday and remanded to a 14-day judicial custody as an investigation proceeds.
