Sensational Heist: Police Crackdown on Multi-Crore Robbery

Three individuals, including a police constable, have been arrested for a Rs 7.11 crore theft, with Rs 5.76 crore recovered. The gang posed as RBI officials, intercepting an ATM cash van in the city. Over 200 officers were involved in the manhunt, with key arrests made in 54 hours.

A robbery of Rs 7.11 crore in the city has led to the arrest of three individuals, including a police constable. City Police Commissioner Seemant Kumar Singh confirmed the breakthrough following an extensive manhunt involving over 200 police personnel.

The heist was executed by a gang impersonating RBI officials, who intercepted an ATM cash van on November 19. They managed to escape with the cash from a vehicle belonging to CMS Info Systems, transporting money from a private bank in JP Nagar.

Thanks to the efforts of eleven police teams, Rs 5.76 crore has been recovered, with further searches ongoing. Arrests include a constable, an ex-employee of CMS Infosystems, and a vehicle in-charge. The operation to catch remaining members of the gang continues.
