A suicide attack at the Frontier Constabulary headquarters in Peshawar, Pakistan, on Monday claimed the lives of at least three security personnel, according to reports. The assault left two personnel injured.
The attack unfolded when terrorists attempted to breach the headquarters' entrance, with one bomber detonating his explosives at the gate. In the ensuing counter-firing, security forces neutralized the attackers, amounting to three dead assailants.
In the aftermath, security forces cordoned off the area and initiated a clearance operation. The injured were transported to Lady Reading Hospital in Peshawar. The incident occurred in a densely populated area near a military cantonment. The Frontier Constabulary was recently renamed as part of governmental reforms in July.
