Constable Fights Off Attacker in Dramatic Delhi Robbery Chase

A police constable was attacked with a knife while addressing a robbery in Delhi. Despite injuries, he apprehended the suspect, solving multiple theft cases. The accused, Ritik, with past criminal records, was detained with stolen money in possession. A case has been registered under the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita.

In a dramatic sequence of events in central Delhi's Raj Park, a police constable exhibited exceptional bravery by subduing a knife-wielding robbery suspect, despite sustaining injuries. This incident unfolded as constable Vikash was on a routine patrol and responded promptly to a nearby robbery report.

The altercation began when a distressed rickshaw puller, Md Kamal, reported being robbed by a young man. As the constable accompanied him to the site, the suspect turned violent, attacking Vikash with a knife. Despite being injured, Vikash managed to overpower the accused, identified as Ritik, who attempted to flee by injuring himself. However, a swift subsequent operation led to Ritik's arrest, solving the robbery and two additional theft cases.

Authorities, acknowledging Ritik's past involvements in thefts and drug-induced behavior, have registered a case under the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita. Alongside the apprehension, they recovered the stolen Rs 500, the knife, and clothes used in the crime, marking a notable success in tackling crime in the area.
