A wedding celebration in Khanpur village turned tragic when a man died after being struck by a bullet. The incident occurred on Thursday night when celebratory gunfire erupted, according to police reports.
Officials identified the victim as 36-year-old Dharmendra Bhati. The accused, identified as Sugreev, allegedly opened fire with a licensed pistol, fatally injuring Dharmendra. He was rushed to a hospital in Noida, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
The local authorities have registered a case based on the victim's family's complaint, the Superintendent of Police for the region, Shankar Prasad, confirmed. Efforts to arrest the accused and seize the firearm are underway as investigations continue.
