Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district achieved a significant breakthrough on Friday by uncovering and dismantling a hideout linked to the Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) outfit. According to police, the operation resulted in the arrest of a terrorist associate known for aiding and abetting terrorism.
The arrested individual, Nazir Ahmed Ganai, has been instrumental in supporting and transporting arms and ammunition to JeM terrorists in the Tral and Awantipora regions. The discovery stems from a credible tip-off that led to a coordinated search operation in the Naner Midoora area.
Security forces seized critical materials, including hand grenades and explosives, from the hideout while its subsequent destruction neutralized a resource for the terrorists. A comprehensive investigation is underway to thwart future terrorist activities and maintain peace in the region.
