Union Home Minister Amit Shah declared on Friday that under the Modi administration, longstanding security challenges such as Naxalism, issues in the northeast, and Jammu and Kashmir have been resolved, paving the way for these regions to align with the rest of the country.
In an address at the annual DGP/IGP conference, Shah advocated for a comprehensive crackdown on narcotics and organized crime. He urged state police forces to team up with the Narcotics Control Bureau to dismantle drug trafficking networks at all levels.
Shah highlighted that the government has fortified 586 police stations, reducing Naxal-affected regions significantly. The conference, featuring key figures like PM Modi and NSA Ajit Doval, aims to evaluate and strategize on national security objectives to achieve a 'Surakshit Bharat'.
