In a significant cybercrime revelation, a deceitful website promising guest house accommodations for Lord Ayyappa devotees at Sabarimala has been detected, according to police reports on Saturday.
The Pathanamthitta Cyber Police filed a case on Friday, initiating a probe into the misleading online platform dubbed sannidanamguesthouse.in, which falsely advertised room bookings for pilgrims.
This investigation unearthed a complex web of deceit, with one suspect named Hamid from Haryana identified, prompting authorities to delve deeper into the digital ruse targeting unwary pilgrims.
