A suicide attack struck northwest Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday, claiming the life of a policeman and injuring three others, officials report.

The assault occurred in the Lakki Marwat district, where a police van from the Tajori police station was targeted by a bomber who detonated near the vehicle, as per authorities.

Head Constable Alauddin was fatally wounded, while the attacker's accomplice managed to flee. A rigorous search operation is ongoing. Chief Minister Sohail Afridi condemned the attack and assured the provincial government's unwavering support for the police force.
