Delhi's Illicit Liquor Network Busted: The Capture of Absconder Manoj Kumar

Delhi Police have successfully apprehended Manoj Kumar, a proclaimed absconder accused of operating a counterfeit liquor supply network. Kumar, a Haryana resident, was declared a proclaimed offender by a local court and had been evading capture by frequently changing locations.
On November 24, crime branch officers acted on a tip-off that Kumar was hiding in Bikaner, Rajasthan. After strategically positioning near the location, authorities intercepted and confirmed Kumar's identity through various databases, leading to his capture.
During interrogation, Kumar allegedly admitted to turning to the illicit liquor trade after failing to secure a legitimate license. Post-release from a 2024 arrest, he resumed criminal activities, establishing a fake branding operation which was later dismantled by law enforcement earlier this year. Investigations continue as Kumar's capture unfolds more details about his operations.
