The wife and brother-in-law of a man accused of murdering his live-in partner in southwest Delhi's Chhawla have been apprehended, police reported on Monday. The duo allegedly assisted in moving the woman's body to a car after the incident.
Virendra, 35, was earlier detained for the alleged murder of the 44-year-old woman. It reportedly occurred after a drunken quarrel on the night of November 25-26. Senior police officials disclosed the involvement of Chetan, 21, and Poonam, 31, who were arrested following incriminating evidence.
After the killing, both Chetan and Poonam helped transport the body, using an electric scooter to reach the scene. Virendra had lived with the deceased for two years, and disputes over property proceeds were common. The ongoing investigation includes forensic analysis of seized evidence.
