A group allied with Hamas said on Wednesday it was searching for the body of a hostage in northern Gaza with a team from the Red Cross.
The announcement from the armed wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, the Al Quds Brigades, came a day after Hamas handed over remains described by the Red Cross as belonging to one of the last two deceased hostages in Gaza.
However, Israeli forensic services concluded that those remains were not one of the hostages, according to the office of Israel's prime minister.
