Online Fraudster from UP Nabbed in Odisha
Md Adil from Uttar Pradesh was arrested by Odisha Police for allegedly defrauding an Angul resident via an online scam. Sukanta Kumar Pradhan lost Rs 7.20 lakh after installing an APK file named 'RTO Challan', leading to the arrest following a detailed investigation.

In a significant breakthrough, Odisha Police have apprehended Md Adil, an accused online fraudster from Uttar Pradesh, involved in duping an Angul resident out of Rs 7.20 lakh.
The victim, Sukanta Kumar Pradhan, fell prey to the scam after he installed an 'RTO Challan' APK from a suspicious WhatsApp number. The installation resulted in fraudulent transactions from his bank account.
Following an intensive investigation involving money trail and SIM card analysis, police conducted a raid in Prayagraj, leading to Adil's arrest and recovery of crucial evidence including a mobile phone and debit card.
