Tamil Nadu police have nabbed individuals involved in the sale of counterfeit products, seizing imitation goods worth almost Rs 3 lakh. The crackdown follows complaints from agents of major brands.

The Intellectual Property Rights Enforcement Cell initiated the operation, conducting surveillance and investigations. Counterfeit goods including water purifiers, gear oils, and electrical wires of leading brands like KENT RO, Tata, and Polycab were confiscated.

Authorities have registered cases and continue the probe, encouraging the public to report any information on the manufacturing and sale of bogus products via email or phone.
