This policy was highlighted in a parliamentary session on Friday, underscoring New Delhi's commitment to Afghanistan's stability amid complex geopolitical dynamics.
Minister of State for External Affairs, Kirti Vardhan Singh, emphasized that India's relationship with Afghanistan, framed by deep historical and cultural ties, remains guided by longstanding friendship. This approach enables India to maintain substantive influence in its contiguous neighbor, aligning with both humanitarian efforts and strategic interests.
The diplomatic developments include upgrading India's Technical Mission in Kabul to an official embassy as of October 21.
