Five Convicted in Major Drug Bust Receive Rigorous Imprisonment
A special court has sentenced five individuals to rigorous imprisonment ranging from 12 to 14 years in a 2022 drug peddling case. The accused were found guilty of planning to sell MDMA, with 125 grams seized during a police operation. Fines were also imposed under the NDPS Act.

In a significant legal development, a special court handed down sentences ranging from 12 to 14 years to five individuals involved in a 2022 drug peddling case. Rigorous imprisonment and hefty fines were imposed under the NDPS Act for their offenses.
The convicted individuals, namely Lual Daniel Justine Boulo alias Dany, Mohammed Rameez, Moiddin Rasheed, Abdul Ravoof alias Tough Ravoof, and Sabitha alias Chinchu, faced charges for planning to sell MDMA. The charges stemmed from a raid conducted by the Central Crime Branch (CCB) Police Inspector in Mangaluru.
During the raid on June 14, 2022, 125 grams of MDMA were seized. The NDPS Special Court, Mangaluru, after a thorough examination of the case presented by Public Prosecutor Judith, found all five guilty and imposed sentences and fines accordingly.
