A tragic fire in a Goa nightclub has claimed the lives of at least 25 people, including three migrant workers from Jharkhand. The victims include two brothers, Pradeep and Vinod Mahto, and another worker, Mohti Manda, all of whom had ventured to Goa seeking employment.
Families of the deceased are grappling with the loss, as their financial livelihoods were closely tied to the earnings sent by the victims. The Mahto brothers supported their family by sending monthly remittances. In the chaos, over six individuals were reported injured and are receiving treatment at Goa Medical College.
Local authorities have begun working to contact the families and companies involved, yet affected relatives are expressing frustration over the lack of direct communication from government representatives.
