In a dramatic turn of events, Haridwar's Jwalapur area witnessed heightened tensions during a Bajrang Dal procession on Sunday. Alleged stone-pelting incidents marred the event, prompting swift intervention by the police and administration.
The 'Shaurya Yatra', organized by Bajrang Dal, started cohesively from various points in Haridwar. However, the situation took a drastic turn when the procession reached Ram Chowk in Jwalapur, where stones were reportedly thrown at participants, according to officials.
Bajrang Dal state president Anuj Walia vehemently criticized the city's deteriorating law and order, citing the attack as a failure of the local administration.
