Thailand resumed airstrikes on Monday along its conflicted border with Cambodia, as both nations blamed each other for breaking a ceasefire agreement established earlier this year.
In July, a border dispute escalated into five days of conflict resulting in numerous casualties. Despite diplomatic efforts led by U.S. President Donald Trump to initiate a truce in October, peace remained elusive with recent skirmishes.
The Thai Defense Ministry reported over 35,000 people relocated from the border zones to shelters. Meanwhile, Cambodian Information Minister Neth Pheaktra confirmed evacuations from nearby villages amidst the renewed hostilities.
