A Delhi court has extended the judicial custody of Chaitanyanand Saraswati for an additional 14 days, as he faces charges related to using a fake diplomatic number plate. Saraswati was presented before Judicial Magistrate Animesh Kumar at the conclusion of his police custody granted earlier this month.

Previously detained for allegedly sexually harassing 16 students from a management institute in southwest Delhi, Saraswati was apprehended in Agra on September 27. He was already serving jail time in conjunction with this sexual harassment case when he was transferred to police custody on Monday.

Chaitanyanand Saraswati, who once held the position of chairman at the private management institute, is confronted with multiple allegations, including molestation of several women. This recent development adds further legal troubles to his ongoing judicial proceedings.
