Anakapalli Police Reclaim Stolen Phones in High-Tech Recovery Drive

Anakapalli Police achieved a technological milestone by returning 750 recovered mobile phones to their rightful owners. The effort, valued at Rs 1.5 crore, marks the 11th successful operation in the district.
Superintendent Tuhin Sinha highlighted the initiative's success at a press conference, stressing the personal and financial importance of mobile phones in today's world. With 4,000 phones recovered since last year, the district's approach exemplifies the effective use of technology and inter-district cooperation.
Sinha urged victims of theft to report lost phones through the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal or via the district police WhatsApp number. This guidance allows for seamless complaints without visiting police stations, enhancing recovery efficiency.
