Kathua district police have finally apprehended Jagraj Singh, a fugitive wanted since 2015.
Singh, a native of Punjab's Gurdaspur district, had been sought for charges of rash driving and causing injuries under Sections 279 and 337 of the Indian Penal Code, according to authorities.
The arrest ends a nearly eight-year effort by police to bring Singh to justice.
