On Thursday, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted a significant raid at the residence of Shahnawaz Alam in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand, following his suspected connections with the ISIS terror group, officials disclosed. The operation forms part of an ongoing investigation into the terror network linked to Alam, who was apprehended by the Delhi Police Special Cell last month.

During the raid, authorities seized a variety of electronic devices, including a laptop and a printer, all suspected of being utilized within Alam's terror operations. Despite their efforts, NIA officials have remained silent on the specifics contained within these seized items, thereby intensifying the mystery surrounding the case.

The investigative action stemmed from intelligence provided by a doctor earlier detained by the NIA. This development adds another layer to Alam's history, as he has a previous record of imprisonment in 2019 for robbery and theft. After his release on bail in December 2020, he reportedly engaged with ISIS handlers, playing a significant role in the Pune ISIS module case. Authorities continue to scrutinize ties potentially reaching deep into Jharkhand.
