Leader of the Opposition, Rahul Gandhi, spotlighted the dire air pollution crisis plaguing major Indian cities in a Lok Sabha session. Emphasizing a non-partisan approach, Gandhi called for a solution-driven discussion involving all parties, steering clear of ideological confrontations.
Gandhi urged for unity in tackling the problem, stressing that air pollution transcends political differences and is causing significant harm to citizens' health, from lung diseases in children to breathing difficulties in the elderly.
Responding to the concerns, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju affirmed the government's willingness for dialogue. He suggested that the Business Advisory Committee allocate time to deliberate and formulate strategies to combat the air quality issue effectively.
