In a dramatic display of dissent, opposition MPs congregated at the Parliament House complex on Tuesday to protest the newly introduced VB-G RAM G Bill. The lawmakers argue that the legislation, which aims to replace the MGNREGA scheme, insults Mahatma Gandhi by omitting his name.

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra accused the ruling BJP of systematically undermining rural employment guarantees. 'This Bill strips millions of laborers of their legal right to work,' she stated, as opposition members voiced their discontent near the iconic Gandhi statue.

The Bill proposes a 125-day wage employment guarantee, but opposition leaders demand a deeper evaluation by a parliamentary panel. They suggest renaming schemes is merely a distraction from the Bill's potential to destabilize rural development.
