A West Bengal court on Wednesday sentenced three individuals to life imprisonment for the murder of Anupam Dutta, a councillor for the Trinamool Congress.
The verdict was delivered by the Third Additional District and Sessions Court, which had earlier found the accused—Amit Pandit, Sanjib Pandit, and Ziarul Mondal—guilty of the crime.
Anupam Dutta was murdered on March 13, 2022, near Agarpara Station Road. The police apprehended Amit Pandit on the day of the incident, while the others were arrested later.
