Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has underscored the critical role of the rule of law in enhancing public confidence within the state. In his address during the Uttar Pradesh Provincial Armed Constabulary (PAC) Foundation Day 2025 ceremony, he pointed to the characteristics defining PAC's identity: courage, discipline, and professional competence.
Adityanath elaborated on the significant role PAC plays on the frontline of maintaining internal security, law and order, and disaster management. Reflecting on PAC's storied history, he recounted its critical involvement in notable security incidents, like the 2001 Parliament attack and the 2005 Ayodhya terror attack.
Adityanath detailed efforts to revitalize the PAC, including modernizing its capabilities and weaponry, recruiting new personnel, and launching initiatives to increase women's participation. Additionally, he emphasized investments in the sports budget and police welfare schemes to further support and reward police personnel.
