Bastion, the upscale restaurant co-founded by Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, has come under legal scrutiny for allegedly violating operating hours regulations. The establishment, situated on St Marks road, was caught hosting events well past the legally approved closing time.
On December 11, following a tip-off, a police officer on duty inspected the restaurant and discovered it operating unauthorizedly at 1.30 am. This led to a formal complaint and the filing of a case on December 14 under the Karnataka Police Act at the Cubbon Park police station.
The case involves the restaurant manager and staff, accused of running the establishment beyond government-imposed closing marks. The incident highlights the challenges law enforcement faces in regulating nightlife activities in bustling urban centers.
