A senior member of British aristocracy, the Duke of Marlborough, has been charged with three counts of intentional strangulation, according to officials from Thames Valley Police.

Charles James Spencer-Churchill, known as Jamie Blandford, was arrested last year for alleged offences occurring in November 2022 and January and May 2024 in Woodstock, Oxfordshire.

The 70-year-old, a distant relative of Winston Churchill, has been summoned to Oxford Magistrates' Court this Thursday to face the charges. As a figure linked to both historical and modern notables, including Princess Diana, his case has garnered significant public attention.
