The brick kiln owner, Sourav Pal, and manager, Amit Deb, have been arrested. Meanwhile, the local administration, led by Chief Minister Manik Saha, has pledged Rs 25.16 lakh in compensation for victims' families, promising aid for those injured.

Authorities have launched an investigation into the collapse, seeking to understand if mandated safety measures were neglected and to assess the structural integrity of the kiln's chimney.
