Dramatic Encounter: Cattle Smuggler Arrested After Shootout

A cattle smuggler named Amit Yadav was arrested following a shootout with police in Bairia. The 21-year-old suspect opened fire when police surrounded him, resulting in a gunshot injury to his leg. Authorities recovered a country-made pistol and cartridges from his possession.

A 21-year-old cattle smuggler, Amit Yadav, was apprehended by police after a shootout in Bairia, officials announced Thursday.

Acting on a tip-off about Yadav's location, police encircled the area near Brahmbaba Sthan Chanddiyar on Wednesday night, prompting Yadav to allegedly open fire on officers.

In self-defense, police fired back and arrested Yadav, who sustained a gunshot wound to his leg. He was subsequently admitted to Sonbarsa hospital. A country-made pistol and cartridges were seized from the scene.
